Our Process 

Once you’ve made your countertop selection and the template has been completed, the fabrication begins.

SLAB INSPECTION

Whether it is quartz or natural stone, the slab is inspected to make note of marks, patterns, veining, colors, and “unusable” areas. The inspection will help the team to place the template accurately to allow for seaming, vein matching, and to avoid natural blemishes and undesirable areas.

TEMPLATE PLACEMENT

Next, the team will place the templates on the slab to choose the layout for optimal space usage and pattern flows. This is an important step to get the maximum usage of the slab for your project, while making it the most visually pleasing outcome.

STONE CUTTING

Your slab will then be placed on the bridge saw, and the template will be cut using a diamond blade and water. The saw blade moves through the slab, following the pattern of the template, under the direction of the sawyer (the stone cutting specialist).

FABRICATION

Next, the countertop pieces are passed to the fabricator, who will cut out the sinks, faucets, and other necessary modifications. If necessary, weaker areas will have rod tunnels drilled into the back side of the stone, and rods will be inserted to reinforce the material.

POLISHING

Once all the cuts are made, the polishing process is done using a series of increasing-grit pads to achieve the finished product.

FINISHING

The final countertop is then inspected for installation in your home.
